AGENTIC CODING and WORKFLOWS:
One Day Immersive Workshop

This is a workshop that I’ve delivered for corporate clients, and I’m gearing up to do my first Maven public cohort with a free 30 min Lightning Lesson on agentic coding in July, and another on agentic workflows in August.

Thanks to Andy for the gracious testimonial below.  Reach out if you’d like to customize this workshop for your team!

“Dan recently gave a one-day workshop to my organization on Agentic Coding and Workflows. We had several hundred attendees and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Dan’s presentation style is engaging and inclusive and felt very conversational. He took questions from the audience in real time and talked through a variety of things that he has found that work well for him as well as challenges he’s had and occasional roadblocks he’s faced. Since Dan isn’t professionally attached to any of the Coding Agents, LLM’s or companies that provide them, everyone felt like he was presenting us unbiased findings from a power user and subject matter expert, rather than trying to sell us on a particular tool. He presented us real world examples and then guided us through a hands-on workshop in the afternoon, where everyone started with a piece of sample code and then executed on a plan to accomplish the goal without writing a single line of code and only using the tools to generate the code for us. There is a renewed energy in our organization for trying new things and leveraging AI for efficiency and innovation. If you are looking to help your organization take the next step towards successful adoption of tools like these, Dan would be an excellent choice to facilitate a workshop for you.”

Case Study and Deep Dive:
Telemedicine Agent with LangGraph/MCP

This is a workshop I presented at the AI Engineer World’s Fair 2025 in San Francisco; really exciting to share what my colleagues and I at Stride have been doing with AI workflows.

Perspectives

There’s no one right way to do product, or build software, or use AI. But here’s a few examples of how I think about those things.

The Walls Are Coming Down

hackathon agent graph

It had been years since I shipped code, but with AI I’ve gotten myself back in the game.  AI tools make it possible to create in ways I couldn’t have imagined a couple of years ago.

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

Product + AI = SOMETHING NEW?

There is no harder, more exposed job in technology than product management.  AI is going to completely change it.

Panel Discussion

The FUTURE OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

This was a lot of fun — I really don’t think of myself as a product manager any more, but I still strongly identify with the product perspective. Great discussion on where things might be headed.

about me

I’m Dan.  I’ve been building digital products (and product teams) for 25 years.  The details are on LinkedIn, along with some hopefully provocative thoughts on AI, software, teamwork, and culture (mostly corporate, occasionally not).

A few non-professional facts:
• My wife and I have three teenagers — Julia, Parker and Sara Jane — hence the JPSJ.
• I passed the Jeopardy test but they’re never going to pick me, let’s be honest.  I think there were three other suburban NJ dads on the same audition Zoom.
• I’ve been known to make wine, beer, hot sauce etc.  The wine is terrible but it served us honorably during Hurricane Sandy (when the liquor stores were closed), and it cooks surprisingly well.
• I am a long suffering DC sports fan — but the O’s are good now and Jayden Daniels just made the playoffs. It’s progress!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out just to connect, or if you’re interested in working together.  Thanks!
